I enjoy bringing together the structure of traditional portrait painting with more abstract approaches. Starting with classic techniques gives each piece a strong foundation, while adding abstract elements lets me play with color, shape, and feeling in a way that’s less expected. It’s a balance I like—holding onto the timeless parts of portraiture while opening space for experimentation.
